Day 1. Auckland

If you ever want to go to Auckland, but you don’t want to take a 15 hour plane ride, then fly to San Francisco. Its exactly the same. They even have their own version of Sausalito and its called Devonport. Auckland is beautiful and clean. Its really a cool city and would be easy to pick up and move here. Except of course for the 14 hour plane ride. Today we had lunch at the top of the SkyTower, the tallest rotating restaurant in the southern hemisphere. Then we took a ferry to Devonport to walk around. Now its dinner….

Look to the left and you should see our photos. Click on one and it should take you to our Flickr account.

Hi,

The view from the Tower Resturant is outstanding! Of course, the view might make someone's stomach- like mine, feel very queasy!!!

Speaking of queasy, Floyd is doing really well today (Wednesday in California. He walked with us along the coast at Half-Moon Bay.

Love,
Russ

Sorry it took me so long to find the site. Fabulous blog :)

Lance and I just interviewed a potential roomie from Auckland who said the exact same thing but coming the other way about how SF is the same as Auck.
OK, I'll read the rest of the updates now. You must be missing poor Floyd!

You should give him the room! Kiwis are great, and it probably wouldnt take him long at all to set up a zip-line running down Potrero Hill.
